Can you remember how good it felt to walk into New Life Church for the very first time and be welcomed so warmly?

The Welcome Team work alongside the Hospitality Team in greeting people as they arrive. We can then help guests further with their questions about the church and point them to everything they need to make their visit as comfortable and informative as possible. We are guest-centric and our heart is that everyone who walks through our doors feels welcomed and known for their return visit.

This role does not involve any physical activity so is suitable for a broad range of ages. You will need to be available between 9.45am – 12.30pm on a Sunday morning every three to four weeks.

I'm sure you've enjoyed the experience of sitting in a chair that someone has purposefully put there for you, or perhaps you've benefited from being able to read information on a notice board that was placed right where you could see it, maybe you've been refreshed by getting yourself a drink from a table set up with everything you need for the perfect cuppa! Our hospitality team set up the space at the Free Church Hall to create a warm, welcoming environment - it's so much more than just putting out chairs and tables, this is LOVE in action!

Do you love to see people fully engaged with the content of our services and experiencing God? Whether it's an intro video, the sound of live worship, the clarity of the speaker's message, the growing online content - behind the scenes the tech team are making this happen! There's lots you can do. NO EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY - Full training is given.

Have a heart for worship and want to join the team? It's important that you're a regular attender at New Life Church and that you attend mid week team practices consistently for a period of time before starting to serve in the team on a Sunday morning. This enables you to get to know the team, how we work together, and allows us to get to know you better in the context of worship.

Do you long that each of the children and young people at NLC should know they are known and loved by their father God? In Superstars, that's our passion! We serve together in age specific groups to create fun, engaging and God encountering times for all our young people as they grow together in Friendship & Faith. Session materials are provided. DBS checks and attendance at annual team meeting is required.
