You’ll Never Believe This

Today is Easter Sunday and it is sometimes hard for us to get our heads around it. Coming back from the dead is the stuff that happens in superhero films or fantasy novels. It’s not the sort of thing that happens in real life. It was just as difficult for the disciples to believe Jesus had come back from the dead. They were his closest friends who had spent nearly every moment of their lives with him over the last three years and they didn’t believe. They thought it was over. He was dead for good. They’d seen him die. Their hopes were dashed. Their dreams were destroyed. They did not expect Jesus to come back to life. What changed their minds? They thought it was the END. In fact, it was only the BEGINNING.
